High-End Marine Speakers That Never Rust

Stop replacing "waterproof" speakers every two years.
German Maestro Marina are the only marine speakers engineered in Germany and warrantied specifically against saltwater corrosion.

Why Most Marine Speakers Rust (And Why Ours Don’t)

Most brands take a standard car speaker, swap the steel grill for plastic, and slap a "Marine Grade" label on the box. It looks good on the shelf, but the ocean doesn't care about labels. Within two seasons, salt air eats the magnet, terminals rust, and sun exposure makes the plastic desintegrate.

At German Maestro, we’ve been building marine audio in our German facility for decades. We’ve seen exactly where other speakers fail, so we engineered Marina to be different. We use V4A Stainless Steel hardware, gold-plated terminals, and specialized protective lacquers on our crossovers.

We are so confident in our engineering that we warranty our speakers for salt and corrosion damage—a promise our competitors simply won’t make

Marina: Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Are these actually manufactured in Germany, or just "designed" there?

A: There is a big difference between "German Engineering" and German Manufacturing. Most brands design products at their headquarters but outsource the actual building to mass-market factories elsewhere to save on costs. We are the exception. Every Marina speaker is 100% manufactured in our facility in Obrigheim. We own the factory, we employ the craftsmen, and we control the quality of every component under one roof.

Q: If German manufacturing is superior, why don't other brands do it?

A: Because it’s a choice of legacy over profit margins. Maintaining a dedicated facility and a veteran engineering team is expensive. In 2008, when our original factory was slated for closure, our engineers refused to let the equipment be sold off and the knowledge disappear. They bought the factory themselves to ensure that this level of acoustic craftsmanship wouldn't be lost to outsourcing.

Q: Why does the Marina series use Pure Titanium tweeters?

A: Survival and Projection. Standard silk or fabric tweeters absorb humidity and eventually rot in a marine environment. Titanium is naturally impervious to salt air. More importantly, titanium is stiff enough to provide high-output projection. It has the energy required to cut through 40 knots of wind noise and engine roar, ensuring your music stays surgically clear even at full throttle.

Q: Will these tweeters sound "harsh" at high volumes?

A: Many metal tweeters sound tinny because they are made from cheap alloys. Our tweeters use high-grade German titanium and specific dome geometries that eliminate "ringing" and ear fatigue. You get crisp, concert-level highs that stay smooth and natural for the entire day on the water.

Q: Can I use these as a direct upgrade for my factory boat speakers?

A: Yes. We designed the Marina series to fit standard 6.5", 6x9", and 10" cutouts found on most modern boats. While they fit like factory equipment, the performance is a massive leap forward in both sound stage and long-term durability. They are built to be the last set of speakers you will ever need to buy for your boat.
